Finally, now is the winter of our stickerless discontent. Twitter announced a new feature that lets you put stickers on images over a month ago, but it’s just now been made available to all users. Heck yeah, it’s sticker time.
- They’ve been experimenting with the feature, with which you can put whimsical stickers on your photos, for a while and it’s finally ready for primetime. Stickers, sure! Of course, everyone will sarcastically joke that this is the feature that will save the company. Meanwhile, here’s a brutal takedown from John A. - In other news, DirecTV is making their online-only NFL streaming service available to more people—particularly college students. Students at 2-year colleges can now subscribe to the discounted “NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U” service to watch games online for $24.99 a month. It’s also now available on Apple TV. [AT&T]
- Jessica Jones and Daredevil probably won’t return to Netflix until 2018. Marvel has been committed to producing about two shows per year; Luke Cage premieres on September 30, followed by Iron Fist and The Defenders in 2017. That implies we won’t return to Hell’s kitchen for quite a while. [io9]
- Minecraft is almost ready for the Oculus Rift. Support for the virtual reality headset will come in the next weeks to Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta (what a fun name!), which is celebrating it’s first anniversary. [Microsoft via TechCrunch]
