Rest days are important for muscle recovery and growth. Take this day to reflect on your progress and enjoy the day off. You could workout other muscle groups like core, chest, back, biceps, triceps, or shoulders. Mentally prepare for the next day and keep your goals aligned with positivity and enthusiasm. Make sure you’re eating a lot of complex carbohydrates like brown rice, quinoa, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, and whole grain pasta. Protein definitely helps repair torn muscle tissue, but in order to have adequate energy for the next day, you must carb up.

Rest Days Are Necessary

Regardless of feeling muscle soreness, you must rest at least one day per week to achieve the best possible results. Rest days not only give time for the muscles to repair themselves, but they also help you reevaluate your workout regime and concentrate. If you want to have a physique that’s desirable, being mentally prepared is the only way to be successful throughout your fitness journey.
