ice bending techniquesHow To Control Ice With Mind Power

Ice bending is the ability to command ice and the temperature of water. As you likely have figured, this is a very great ability to have.

The techniques of icebending are pretty basic. All you need to do is visualize water filled with thousands of swirling gray dots, then see each of the grey dots slowly starting to slow and change color to a flat, glacial blue. At that stage the water should get chillier, and if you continue with this process, and keep impeding the dots until they may be totally still, then it’s going to eventually freeze the water. These are the basics that you have to recall for icebending.

Chill Power:

Now on to the starter skill, Chill. This is called Chill because you are going to cool down water almost to the point of freezing temperature. All you’ll need with this ability is a little bowl and someplace quiet where you’ll be able to focus. It’s fairly significant to have a very small bowl, because then you don’t have to deal with as much water.

Alright, first fill the bowl with water at room temperature and place it on the floor in front of you. Now sit back and place part of your hand or perhaps just a finger in the water and shut your eyes. Now visualize those swirling dots we mentioned before and do just as I told you about about the slowing dots. Keep doing this for as long as it takes for one to feel chilly water in your finger/hand. If the water gets colder, then congratulations, you are formally an icebender! But merely be careful to not do this overly long, or you may freeze your fingers in the ice! I did it once and it really hurt after a while. Keep doing this until you’ll be able to do this without focusing and with your eyes open. Now on to the more challenging moves.

Ice Petal: With this skill, you are truly going to be making an ice sculpture. Well, we’re not quite at sculptures yet, but you are going to a make part of one. You are going to make a flower petal outside of ice. All you’ll need is a bowl of cold water and a quiet location to bend. It’s simpler to focus on cold water because you’re going to make ice. What you do is, recall all of the swirling dots? Well, picture the entire bowl filled together, but cut out a part of it and shape it like a flower petal. Now see the petal turn chillier by slowing the dots down, but keep the remainder of the bowl precisely the same temperature. I know, this is REALLY confusing, but merely look at these words long and hard and hopefully you are going to comprehend it better. Truthfully, I am confusing myself just by typing these words. But anyhow, see the petal growing colder and colder until the dots have completely halted and turned an icy white. Almost such as this color. Open your eyes and the petal should be frozen and floating in the water. If it is, then congratulations! This is an extremely confusing move and rather hard to pull off correctly. You can even do other figures, too. Only visualize it in the shape you desire.

Thaw: With this ability, you are going to thaw out ice. It appears kind of wierd, I know, because it’s almost like firebending. But it truly is still Icebending because you aren’t using heat to thaw it, but you are actually merely releasing the chilly out of the ice to thaw it. So, it is possible to either freeze a bowl of water with Icebending, or you are able to put it in the deep freezer for two hours. I might urge you set it in the freezer, because then you don’t have to waste any Chi on freezing it. So get your ice, and place it on the ground before you. Now shut your eyes, and see the swirling dots again. But this time, see the dots beginning to move again, slowly changing color again back to the gray colour of room temperature. Additionally, see grey colored steam coming out from the top of the ice, which represents the cold temperature. When you see them swirling at a steady rate, all of the steam has ceased rising, and you believe that it’s pretty much thawed out… Subsequently open your eyes and look in the bowl. If it is water, then congratulations, you’ve got only mastered a really confusing and useful technique! For example, if you place your beverage in the freezer, instead of the icebox, you could thaw it out in seconds without thinking about it and also not needing to wait hours to thaw it outside. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!! Additionally, as an ending note, it would be very advantageous for you to learn Waterbending as well, because then you’re able to freeze things into shapes without desiring a bowl of water.
