I happened to be on cliffslist and some times enjoy the reading. Some of the things I read there for free have been waay better than all the paid tools for self help. I am sure some of you are on cliffs list too. Today I came across a post by some guy about afformations.

First I thought it was just a spelling mistake, but looks like a new name for an old piece of good technology.... MetaModels. I have not brought any product from this guy but it looks like his idea are based on the technique of asking the right questions.

Many people, including me, ask bad questions all the time.
why can't ask her out?
why cant i make more money?
blah blah blah

we know know what happens when we ask such questions.... we get answers.... excuses for not doing things we should have been doing....

Affirmations make us use statements which are mostly wishful in nature like I am wealthy, I own a new car....blah blah....

Afformations is like a mixture of wishful statements turned into questions
so instead of asking why am I not making enough money or repeating the statement I am rich a thousand times, you ask the question
Why am I getting wealthy?
How am I attracting so many women?
This forces your mind to find the answers and puts you in the as if frame....

I tried a few questions like that and it felt quite empowering...

This is nothing new at all..... hose of you who have watched bandler know how he breaks through limitations by questions. this guy has just brought it into the news cycle......

here is the url Success Clinic

BTW its not an affiliate Link

But if you would prefer one, Here it is

any comments guys?

i have the book. it is ok, mostly an explanation of it and many lists of afformations divided into topics.
good if you don't fee like making up your own for some reason. actually though some are good that i would have never thought of on my own to say but seeing them inspires me to ask different questions.

personally though i prefer the zpoint 'what if' questions preceding your clearing statements. they feel much more powerful for me. i still have a hard time sitting with apparently untrue questions, like 'why am i so rich?' but saying 'what if i could clear all the ways i avoid prosperity?" feels more empowering.

basic zpoint

then on this scroll down to "on reaching your dreams" for the what ifs

A very clever coach came up with a brilliant way of helping those athletes break through the barrier. He hooked them up to a pulley and a long rope that pulled them down the track just a little bit faster than their personal bests. And it worked. They all ran faster!

What that brilliant coach did was to create the possibility and the expectation that they could run faster. And without seeing and especially feeling that possibility for themselves, they couldn’t get past that seemingly insurmountable barrier.

I read this in that resource. Wow- that's what my coach did to us back in the ole college days. And yes- it darned worked. Pushed to our limits, I personally broke a speed barrier I never though I could. Well--- I did sprain my ankle but after that I won the intercollege tourney!
