Better to sleep with your feet facing north?

PostPosted: Thu Mar 22, 2012 2:19 am    Post subject: Better to sleep with your feet facing north? Reply with quote

Does anybody know if it's more beneficial to sleep with your feet facing north?

I ask because I'm reading a book called "Hawaiian Magic" by Dr. Clark Wilkerson and in the book he explains that, if possible, it's better to have your feet facing north while you sleep.

Here's an excerpt from the book:

If it is possible, it will be beneficial to arrange the bed in your bedroom so that your feet will point to the north. The scientific explanation of this is the direction of flow of the magnetic currents of the Earth. There are many types of such currents. We are all familiar with the north and south poles and with their magnetic action. Currents flowing so that they cross these two poles, or "magnetic action" currents, carry many rays and vibrations all night long. In this area, they flow from south to north.

Thus, if we point our feet to the north while we sleep, Mother Nature or the laws that be, will cleanse us, purify us, make us stronger and re- energize our living cells while we sleep.

Unbeknownst I was doing the opposite for years! My feet have been facing the south. Whoops.
I have rearranged and now my feet will face north, but just wondering if anyone here knows about this and what they think about it.

Thanks

I always read ie. Feng Shui books etc, the head is suppose to face north...but I guess it depends on which hemi-shpere you're on...

Yeah, that's what I thought too, the head faces magnetic north. But just to play it safe, try it both ways, and see which feels better to you, head facing north or feet facing north.

I've actually tried the head facing north thing, and can't tell if it's any better.

Better to sleep with your feet facing north?

PostPosted: Thu Mar 22, 2012 10:10 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Since I've head my head facing north for forever, last night I did the opposite and had it facing south. Didn't notice any difference. Will keep playing to see if I notice any changes over time.

Still early days, but it's probably an old wives' tale.

I will post back in a couple weeks IF I notice any benefits from doing this (more energy, more refreshed, less sleep, etc..)

My feet face north just by coincidence in the last few years. I might feel a difference but I think it has more to do with the great mattress that I'm now using.

There are several devices that I know of and probably 10 times more I don't know about, that will give you more energy, more refreshed, less sleep... etc, when you use them at night.

One thing I tried to sleep with once and got great results was the Alex Chiu magnetic rings (immortality rings I believe they are called). After 6 hours sleep with the rings on I was bursting with energy as soon as I woke up in th morning, which really surprised me since I didn't think they would work. I'm not saying these rings are the ultimate device, but that one experiment I did with them really shocked me.

Another member of this forum named Steve had a thread on these grounded pads, I think they were called, that you put on your bed and I think sleep on top of them, I can't remember all the details, he said they worked really well. Maybe somebody can find that thread?

Also, putting crystals under your pillow can sometimes be a big help with having more energy, feeling more rested and all that. Different crystals work in different ways, so you have to experiment with them to see how they work for you.

These are only 3 suggestions, that seem to work well, but I can't guarantee they will work for you.

Yes, sometimes the mattress CAN be the thing that really helps. I know I've read of people using magnetic matress pads that really help alot when you sleep and give you more energy when you wake up. Some of them are very expensive, but I do think there's something there, just in case anybody wants to try one. I have no experience with them but have read the expensive ones, that go for around $1000 or more work great.

Not really on topic, but since you guys are talking about energy and sleep, I saw some days ago some orgone blanket.

That would make a nap very refreshing.

What do you think of the rings in the long term?

I never used them in the long term, but in light of my one experience with sleeping with them on, I would think they could be very beneficial if you sleep with them everynight. The type of sleep you have with the rings takes getting used to, I had intense drreams besides the incredible energy I had in the morning. I also read of people sleeping with them on for months and months, and they said they do think there is an anti-aging factor to them, besides being very healing. I know Alex makes wild claiims and tends to sound like a real nut, but I do think there is something very important to these rings. I think Alex had a great discovery when he came up with these.

I also had trouble sleeping with them on at first, since they are very stimulating and I need a measure of peace and quiet to fall asleep, but I kept trying each night, since I wanted to see what all the talk was really about. Finally one night I managed to fall asleep with them on and woke up with all that energy, so if you decide to try this, you have to work with them and keep using them even if you feel a little uncomfortable with them on. If you persist, I think you might even be able to sleep with them night after night and then see what they can really do for you. I also have no idea if you'll get the same results I did, but the testimonies of others on that website seem to be similar to mine.

Just curious why you don't use the rings long term PH is it because you have trouble sleeping with them?

Yeah that was the problem, I have to be very tired to fall asleep with the rings, and that doesn't happen all the tine. Usually I have to keep trying and if I can't fall asleep, I'll take them off since I have to get to sleep by a certain time. Some people can manage to sleep with them on every night, so I guess if you have a really long day and usually pass out once you go to bed, then you're in luck.

I sleep fine with them. The difference was subtle enough that it did not give me a strong urge to continue wearing them. I experienced only a small amount of energy boost.

Alex does sell stronger rings, something like 21,000 gauss, as opposed to his normal rings that are around 1-2000, I think. Some people need the stronger ones, I would imagine.

There's also one more thing you can try to sleep with that works great if you ask me and that's a copper magnetic bracelet. I've had one for years that's made of solid copper, plus the magnets and mine has a little quartz crystal powder in it too. The people who make the one I have went out of business (it was actually an old lady working all by herself and she retired).

But you can still get a good copper magnetic bracelet that works well. When I wear them in the daytime, I don't feel much of anything, but at night when I sleep wtih one on I wake up feeling very rejuvinated and energised. The prices are not that expensive so you can get one relatively cheap, there are also many different ones out there now, so you have to experiment with them.

The one I wear is an opened ended copper bracelet and you have to wear it on the left wrist, I highly recommend not buying the solid ring ones that are not opened ended, for example, this is the one that would work well, which is very similar to the one I have:

http://www.wellnessmarketer.com/copper-mag-bracelets_prod_xoxo_cuff_copper.aspx

If you do a search on "copper magnetic bracelets"... you'll find plenty of them.

These bracelets also get rid of any type of shoulder pain and help with many different things, they can also give you a big boost when you get a head cold, and when you sleep with it on, you sometimes can wake up all healed.

One thing that they DO NOT mention, that has happened to me, is that when I have on my bracelet on at night I have more vivid dreams, I've noticed this on many occasions, and it's a great to be able to do this, I can't promise this will work for you but it's worth a shot. I think anybody involved in lucid dreaming or out-of-body travel would do well with a copper bracelet on when they go to sleep.

Here's a nice website:

*I found another website, I never tried these Sergio Lub bracelets but they look really good, they are made of solid copper and other metals:
