Hey,

I've heard that some healers have a bowl of salt or something. Apparently it is a place for all the released (negative) energies to go once a person has been relieved of them....

i think it was Pythagorus (sorry if I am wrong) who threw salt water on his walls in a room in which he was arguing with someone.... Then after there were no more arguments...

Anyway, any healers know about how to use salt .etc

many thanks.

Hi Charles,

In Daoist healing of the Mao Shan sect, when sick qi, as we call it, is extracted from the patient, it is dispersed in Salt water. Salt always is rock salt and not the refined table salt.

In India, it is a general practice to keep a bundle of rock salt in a cloth below the pillow if one is having severe nightmares, and it is seen that it helps in many cases. Folk witchdoctors use salt to mitigate "evil eye" or bad energy using salt.

My first Taiji teacher recommended us to soak feet in lukewarm salt water every night before bedtime for about 15 minutes. It is meant to ground and also pull down stale and pathogenic qi from the body. This is a practice I can vouch for and have followed it religiously for the last eleven years.

Many pagan and wicca enthusiasts are taught to sit within a circle of salt before opening up energy portals for healing the self or another. This is supposed to protect from negative portals.

I once met a healer in Rio De who handed out some rock salt to heal people. Like some can program water, he could program the salt crystals. It cured me of a skin allergy in 45 minutes. He explained that salt crystals were easy to program than many other substances. I have not explored on that front though Smile

I am studying Psychic Development, and I have been advised it is best to clear myself as often as possible with a Salt Bath.

Himalayan Salt is advised as the best salt to use for this Cleansing bath, and consuming Himalayan Salt on one's food would be the best product compared to "table salt". Extra cleansing, I would think!

http://products.mercola.com/himalayan-salt/ and other sites - google is your friend! Wink

Himalayan Salt Lamps seem like a good idea as well.

Thanks everyone.

Chipervadesell, I will get some rock salt. What about just keeping a bowl in your room? Are there any directions on making this salt water? Like concentration .etc, or do you not have to be so exact and do it via intuition?

Drigh, what is a salt pool? Just a swimming pool but you put in lots of salt?

Does anyone eat rock salt? At the moment I'm having some un-refined sea salt, just wondering if rock-salt is better for health when eating.

Charles, what I was told by one of my teachers was to place a bowl of salt in the South-Western corner of my living room to dispel negative energies. The instruction was to use a handful of salt. I have generally heard the recommendation of a handful or fistful most cases.

As for soaking the feet, I use my intuition really, some days when it feels dense and heavy and I find my feet meridians less sensitive and clogged, I use five handfulls of rock salt in about half a bucket of lukewarm water. On a normal day, I add two fistfulls of rock salt.

And yes! Himalayan Rock salt is great for bath! The only time you avoid salt bath/soak are when you are doing specific types of Neigong cultivation where your body tends to get a little magnetic.

One Feng Shui Practices often used in India and one that i use as well, is to put a bit of rock salt in small vessels (preferably glass and not plastic) at every corner of ones house.
Salt has has the tendency to draw in negative energies from your living space, and purify it.
Salt has to be changed every fortnight, by pouring it down a toilet or sink drain... simply flushing it down a toilet is often the most convenient

Thanks Ben! I forgot to write this very important point. Salt needs to be refreshed every day.

This thread inspired me to have a salt bath Smile
Now a question crossed my mind: if salt absorbs negative energy it is plausible to assume that the salt used with foods could contain an amount of negativity taken probably somewhere from the production and distribuition to your house. So every time I eat salt I get some negativity into my system? Please tell me that I am wrong Very Happy

I use Pink Himalayan Sea Salt in my food from time to time. The other night I put some in my pasta as I cooked it and after I eat it I was bursting with energy. I also take it just straight from the bottle, a little in the morning and wash it down with some water. The mineral content in Pink Himilayan Sea Salt is suppoed to be really good for you.

For those that live in the USA, I get mine in Target... of all places! Seem's like everybody is starting to sell this stuff.

I've also read that those that get into energy healing, the Pink Himilayan increase the bodies ability to be more conductive and increases the healing effect. Crystal healing is supposed to work like 10 times bettter. I have not tried this myself but only read about it. This would probably be true with other healing modalities. I don't have much to report since I'm very new at this...so that's as far as i can go. I think it would be good idea to change over to Pink Himilayan sea salt, rather than using just table salt for all your food.

I was thinking about that. However after incorporating some macrobiotic philosophy into my eating and adding salt, I feel OK.

Maybe you can convert the stale energies to light in your body Wink

Who knows ??

I just wanted salt as a place for stagnant energies to go. Don't necessarily consider them "bad".

Do you happen to know why this is?

Why would salt be bad if the body becomes magnetic?

I am playing around with magnets recently.

Also, kunlun talks about a persons body becoming magnetic.

Wish I knew more about this connection between qi gong and cultivation, and if there is, why does it not manifest all the time in its practitioners and only some of the time.....

Don't forget that salt simulant- white powder gold or Aurumsolis. It's a very high energy salt-like product that's perfect for energy work. It grounds you well as well as raises your vibrations. It's horribly expensive to buy, but amazing cheap (and tiresome) to create yourself.

Ebay.com vendors carry this for a discount. If you can get a kilo, you got enough to boost up your manifestation sessions!

I've no personal experience with White Powder Gold but some folks lately seem to think it does more harm than good. Not sure though..
