I've never tried this myself, but I read about a woman who used it on her dog. As it turns out her dog was acting very bad, doing many different things, one of those things was chasing cars down the street. The neighbors were complaining... etc... and her whole life was like getting worse because of her dog.

She had read some books on visualization and decided to try and visualize everyday that her dog was acting better. Whatever misdeeds the dog would perform, the woman would visualize her dog being good. She even "saw" in her mind's eye the dog sitting quietly in her front yard as car's passed by and the dog would not chase them. Her visualizations took a while to "click-in" so to say, but eventually the dog started acting just as she was visualizing and everything calmed down for her.

In your case, maybe you could just see your brother packing his bags and leaving for somewhere else.

I have no idea if this technique would work, but I do know visualizing can be VERY powerful...plus it's better than doing nothing.
