Anyone having success starting up this program in windows 7?

I tried running cybershaman 7 with no luck as well

Its true, it doesnt run in windows 7... i think its a compatibility problem with sound drivers.

There is a way to run CS on win7, that is through either the built in virtual PC XP mode, or with the use of a VMware workstation.
If you have a quad core and lots of ram, its possible to run 4 instances of CS separately in each winxp shell.

After a lot of tinkering tonight, I finally got cybershaman 8 to run in Windows 7.

Ernie posted a temporary work around that works for the free versions of the program, basically it's a new bass.dll file you can get from the cybershaman group at yahoo. Just rename your old bass.dll (like xbass.dll) and paste the new one into your cybershaman folder.

I was also having trouble getting it to run because I have a 64-bit version of Windows 7, so I had to make sure I installed it in C:\Program Files\Cybershaman VII - Free and not the default place it wanted to install of Program Files(x86).

I also had a heck of a time getting one of my old failed attempts at trying to install cybershaman uninstalled, so I downloaded Revo Uninstaller Pro (30 day free trial) and was able to finally get cybershaman completely cleaned out of my registry so I could try again.

Unfortunately there is no longer any sound with the program but if you wanted to you could just open up the .wav file you wanted to use with winamp and put it on repeat.

Thx for this fix. I've been trying to get it to work on my 64 bit windows 7 and this worked for me.
