You could always check out http://Stevepavlina.com, I think he's kind of a whackado but he does have some interesting stuff on time management. He got 2 bachelors degrees in 3 terms with proper time management. _________________

I think his degrees were like Math and Computer Science. He said they had lots of overlapping classes so that was definitely helpful. _________________

| Getting Things Done is pretty good. It takes some discipline to really adopt the system, but once you get it under control it's nice to know you have a system you can trust to keep you organized and focused. |

| ever attended the firewalk seminars? one of the best things that Anthony Robbins imparted was that time management occurs naturally when you stop multitasking |

Hard to multitask when you're walking on fire. Same with sky diving. |

Thats the entire gist of the firewalk. The experience is a metaphor to live for the moment. Shun multitasking. When you focus on what's hand, then move to lesser priorities later on, you essentially master the core of time management _________________ Just as the highest and the lowest notes are equally inaudible, so perhaps, is the greatest sense and the greatest nonsense equally unintelligible.

| I find it helps to sit down far ahead of time, like at the beginning of each week, and plan what you need to do each day. Set aside a bit of time, maybe 20 minutes or so, one day a week a plan each day with as much detail as possible. As the week progresses try your best to stick to the schedule. I am not a list person so it took me a few tries to stick to it, but eventually I got the hang of it, and it has helped me out so much. |

For me, the easiest time management is eliminating multi tasking permanently. Like some of you fellas, I feel that parallel processing is best left to computers. Not to people. Try parallel processing your shaving, showering and answering the cellphone. You'll probably end up dead.
You accomplish more in less by a stringent measure of queuing. Stick to one, finish it, then go to the next |
