Anyone familiar with any russian style of martial arts? There are different schools out there, though I have read some sites that refer to one called "Systema/The System." Also anyone familiar with using/building chi for use in physical combat?

I know that the main teachers Vladimir Vasiliev and Mikhail Ryabko are very good and I've heard some of the very senior students are also good, but I'd be wary because there seems to be a few teachers out there with only a few years experience now and I think this is the sort of art that requires longer training to get an understanding of how to condition the body for moving with structure and breathing etc vs local muscle movement.

Personally if you are into developing good chi I'd recommend finding a style with a very experienced teacher who focuses on power building first and not so much on a multitude of techniques.

I've also heard good things about these guys:
