I have the entry level Koss with those muffs that can keep you warm in Siberian winter. Works great with any subliminal CD- You feel like it's THX!

If Sennheiser is expensive, then what do you think is the best other brand alternative that is less pricey that could still match the quality of Sennheiser headphones? Question

....for example, are there any other headphone brand/s that has almost the same audio reproduction power that is more cheaper than Sennheiser HD 555? Idea

And...if there's no Sennheiser what do you think is the next best other one brand to be use?

I ask someone making his music cd bout headphones, and here's his response:

1.
The headphones should be capable of reproducing the full frequency-range of what the human ear can hear.
(expensive headphones usually do; cheap ones usually do not)

2.
The headphones should have a flat frequency response.
This means they reproduce all frequencies equally-loud, rather than having certain frequencies reproduced more loudly than others; or having certain frequencies reproduced less loudly than others.
I personally have heard very few headphones that I would consider to have a flat frequency response.
Even expensive headphones that can reproduce the full frequency range, usually "skew" certain frequency ranges, by making them too loud, or too soft, compared to the other frequency ranges.
The closest to a flat frequency response that I have heard are:

AKG K240 Studio or AKG K240M

no, the AKG model you listed doesnt have a high enough frequency response to replicate many of the tones XM uses without distortion... Frequency Range is the most important thing when choosing headphones.

What brands/models are you referring to? and how low and high the frequency range do you think is the best? Rolling Eyes

...coz I just remembered it right, when someone says that an 18Hz - 21,000Hz is just good enough for many mind cd's.

a cheap option is to use good little headphones, like the AKG K324P (12Hz - 23.500Hz)
