I think I'm doing OK in terms of Google rankings, etc. But I wonder what you guys do to drive more traffic to your sites. Do you do any of the things Chris Brogan or Mark Cahill suggest? (like commenting on other blogs, etc.) or do you use other tactics?

I do forum posting (with siglinks) and join blogcarnivals. But if you really want a tide of traffic, nothing beats getting dugg!

after 8 years of webmastering- i now realize that the one best way to drive traffic to your site is using a forum or yahoogroups. Look at this site. So much traffic coz of US!!

Getting pagerank and alexarank is pointless. Those metrics don't translate into dollars at all

viral marketing had always been a buzzword. Even way back into the 90s when Kotler's 5 Forces was in vogue.

It's cheap and has more growth potential than trimedia!

There's another option. visit digitalforums and you'll find that many bloggers have syndicated their services to market your site. They'll post your link on a network of 1000 to 10000 blogs!
