Car sales, telesales, direct mail,
Anybody? How do you use what you learn here to improve work, shed your cold-call reluctance, be more persuasive on calls, convert more leads and make more money?
I'd like to hear what you do and how, so I'll start. I read Maxwell Maltz a few months back and took up his suggestion of mental rehearsal and visualising to improve my call rates. I picked up Think and Grow Rich recently too when I heard about the content of the book. I first read the chapter on sex transmutation and found it makes a lot of sense, so i'm doing work on that from now on as I read the book front to back.

Is the "18 most powerful words" language patterning? I don't really understand speech patterns, I'm more about working on inner sales right now, but it can't hurt, especially as I'm in telesales. Have you read Cleveland and Vizzini, cobain? How do they compare, and how are your results different when you use each one?

WHile I'm into NLP, I'm not into language patterning myself. I prefer state elicitation. Fill myself with the desired emotional state and let it contaminate the other. Works like a charm, especially if its enthusiasm for the product!
