Hi,
If I want to dowse, I grab a piece of string and attach a piece of metal at the end of it.
Next, I ask a question in my mind, and it replies "yes", "no", "perhaps" or "don't know".
Unknowingly, I may make many mistakes.
I guess that this method is unreliable, because if I ask a question, that can be verified later, it often turns out, that the answers are unreliable.
So, .. how can I dowse more reliably?
(If possible with material, that is easy to obtain).
Does dowsing with orgonite (e.g. the cosmic bullet) make any sense?
Thanks,
Michel

Sometimes it pays to use a pendulum that's very sensitive and is made specifically for dowsing, such as the ones at divingingmind.com. Using pendulums such as this would probably be a BIG help to beginners.
The only way I know of that would help you to dowse in a reliable way is to just practice as much as you can, and eventually you'll get better.
We have a few people (I'm not one of them) on the forums that have been trained by Raymon Grace a very expert dowser.... I would hope they could jump in there and give us all some advice.

Hi PH,
Since you seem to be quite knowledgable at the subject, I was already hoping from some advice from you. The internet site looks interesting. The Isis Brass Medium pendulum feels like a good start?
Thanks,
Michel

Well, you deserve a pat on the back for taking up dowsing. More people need to get into this, it's a great, great skill and can help you with many of lifes difficulties.
The pendulum you picked out is just fine. Just buy the one you feel is right for you. The thing I like about these particular pendulums is that they are "self-cleaning" and do not need to be cleared at all. That's a big help and can make the difference between having a great dowsing session or a terrible one. The guy who run's that website and sell's the pendulums is also a great dowser, and you can email him with questions if you ever get stuck with any dowsing problems. I would recommend you read through that whole website...it's worth the time.
So you're off to a good start, keep practicing and try not to get too frustrated with any slow progress you have.... in the long run it will all work out just fine.

Thanks PH
I am currently awaiting the Isis Brass Medium pendulum.
In the mean time, I discovered more topics have been posted on this subject. Sorry, I should have used the search option, first....
Yesterday, I had three pieces of paper, all looking the same from the back side. On the other side, there was the name of a spell. I mixed them up several times. More often than not, the pendulum was correct. It pointed at the right piece of paper if I asked to indicate me one of the spells. It was also wrong sometimes, but the results didn't feel random at all.
Almost creepy
Edit:
Just tried it again and had mostly wrong answers. Completely different from yesterday. Perhaps I am less focussed.

A little tip that might help is, when using a pendulum ask for only your Higher-Self to come through and also ask your HS to come through in very obvious ways when using your pendulum. The point of this is that it helps to speed things up if you address your HS directly, since this is better than waiting for the pendulum to work on it's own. I do this myself and have had great results. _________________ "We have two choices in life. I tried all manner of pendulums but my favorite is a piece of crystal where my wife's hair serves as the thread The connection I had with it was strong and the results were spot on.
Use amethyst, not clear quartz. For some reason, the clear quartz sometimes refuses to spin. _________________ J. W. A. Rice, Ph.D
