What are your experiences with Ayahuasca? What benefits have you gained from it? How did you prepare for it? Is it worth trying?

I would not recommend taking this without proper supervision. It can be unbelievable powerful if used under the right conditions

A friend of mine went to Brazil a couple of years ago to go through the Ayahuasca experience. It was an organised thing, Steward Wilde and his crew organised it, if I remember correctly.

The trip completely changed his outlook on life, and got him started on a journey of discovery which is still ongoing. The amount of knowledge he has aquired since then is truly staggering. Today he is probably the single most knowledgable person (in the esoteric field) that I know.

He has helped countless people on their ways since then, but is not able to achieve happiness for himself. Since he went on the expedition, his personal happiness has basically disappeared, but he now constantly helps others achieve it. Perhaps that's the way it is supposed to be for him, who knows?

However, I have never met anyone who doesn't agree with me on this: One should not mess around with it without expert assistance! Even the Shamans taking them on the journey said that they needed timebeacons in this world to guide them back from their journey, otherwise they might get "lost" along the way...

There was something you have to combine it with. I forgot what. It is deactivated when taken orally unless you use the other thing.

Do you mean an MAO inhibitor? Syrian Rue seeds are said to do the job.

Oddly enough, a friend of mine was at blue morpho and met Keith, the director of this movie. He was invited to a private screening in NYC and I was allowed to tag along. The movie was very well put together, very high quality, and very engaging. For anyone interested in these types of experiences, I would highly recommend watching!

I've never done it, but I've heard it can crack your Pineal Gland and cause you to have waking hallucinations and schizophrenia. I wonder how people even get it in North America…

Ayahuasca is a brew that can be made from different combinations of different plants. The most common two plants for the brew are banisteriopsis caapi and psychotria viridis. These plants can be ordered from online herb shops, or shamas shops, or legal drug stores, etc. Depending on where you go in the world, each shaman or group rather has their own blend of special ingredients they add to the bew.

I am not sure which (info can be found on Erowid though), but one of them contains DMT and the other contains an MAOI, I think harmaline or harmine (which is also in syrian rue, mentioned above). When DMT is taken orally, enzymes in your stomach destroy it before it can reach the blood stream. The MAOI is taken to block those enzymes and this allows DMT to reach the blood stream.

I have never heard of DMT in particular "cracking" the pineal gland, but perhaps blowing it wide open. I've read several books on the subject including Dr. Strassman's DMT - The Spirit Molecule and Hancock's Supernatural. Both were good reads with some experiences that, depending on your paradigm, may be hard to believe. I do know that taking DMT,or any psychedelic or mind altering substance in the wrong place, with the wrong people, or in the wrong state of mind can have very negative effects. I can't elaborate on what they could be, because different resources tell you different things. Just know that to some, these plants/substances are sacred and use in ritualistic/spiritual settings.

Some on here would probably love to argue that no good will ever come out of psychedelics, others will agree that it opens all kinds of doors. Either way, there is plenty of info to support either argument. Personally I feel that no REAL conclusions will ever be made, since the experiences can be so varied per individual. It's just another paradox in this crazy thing we call life.

David Wilcock mentions the Pineal Gland cracking. Not saying it’s going to happen but it has happened to some of the shamans.

http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-4951448613711060908&ei=ceJASsHWL5bWqgKJ-IiWBQ&q=2012&hl=en

Also, the Pineal Gland becomes calcified over time because of too much exposure to fluoride and refined foods... I looked all over the net and couldn’t find how to get rid of the calcification, except I have a personal method. The ERE (Reflexology machine, sends electrical impulses). This electrical current and the pressure points on your feet (The tip of your Captain toe to the side is your pineal gland) these electrical impulses removes calcification. I can say I feel it tingle my Pineal Gland. There are so many topics and forums on how to help with this. First time I post about it, hope some people make use of it, if you can’t dream and tried everything, look into this.
