I have discovered this site and it offers some free downloadable mp3. One of his mp3 is a 40hz gamma band mp3 designed to stimulate different parts of the brain.

What most of the mind altering mp3 sound file authors uses are the beta, alpha, theta and delta frequencies. So I have some doubt if a gamma band frequencies could not pose some possible dangers if use regularly....coz it is more higher than beta. Rolling Eyes

The brain usually cycles between alpha and high beta all day. It isn't constant.

Now, listening to a continuous loop of very high frequencies may throw you out of whack. How'd you feel if you played rock and heavy metal all day? You'll land in the shrink's couch!

I've done an 11 hour day of listening to Tool. I didn't land in a shrinks couch but I sure did feel out of whack.

A while back I thought I read about entrainment over 100 Hz and even over 200 Hz, and that it was being done by taking a very low delta - under 0.3 Hz beat frequency - and modulating it. Smile

Do you mean playing a 100hz beat and say a 115hz beat simultaneously at an offset? This doesn't mean you'll entrain to 100hz/ 115hz. What will happen is your mind entrains to the difference of the two beats, which is 15hz

I'm not really sure how it would be done, but I think it involves varying the 100 and 115 Hz sine waves rather than using pure tones at exactly 100 and 115 Hz.
