Why Google Paid Me $1707

Yep.  Google sent me $1707 for the month of December 2007.  It’s for the Adsense Program in the name of one of my affiliated companies… and get this: the cheque’s for a four month old site!

Okay, let’s get one thing straight: it’s no biggie for master bloggers like Armand Morin, Shoemoney.com, Problogger, Connectedinternet.co.uk. These fellas rake it in to the tune of ten grand a month. So what makes my check special?

It’s literally because I used Magic to get it.  Want to know the secret?

Anyone here heard of Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret? It’s a method of whipping the universe into submission and yielding mindlessly to your wishes. The Secret shook up the self-help community that even Wikipedia crafted a dissertation on it. And thousands of other sites.

A bit of backgrounder: I’m a practitioner of Wicca, chaos magick and all that jazz. I’ve been casting spells since 1985 with mild success. I got little stuff here and there, like that mountain bike when I was a kid, that Nintendo 64 as a high schooler and even the organizational presidency in college.

My method was simple: visualizing what I wanted and energizing it with prana (chi) that often came from  Archangel invocations. If I can’t raise em up, there was always my healthy potted plant. (it’s dead now from all the chi draining).

Now I mentioned that success was mild and I feel it was because my mindset often lacked the critical ingredient, which was acting As If. Up till 2002, I maintained a clinical disposition to my spells and that got me clinical results. In other words: Nothing Exciting.

But I changed my tact. After visualizing and energizing with fancy rituals, I began acting AS IF my intent were already happening. That slammed open the doors. Mediocre outcomes suddenly exploded into tantalizing realities. I closed major deals. I forged wonderful relationships. I saw the most amazing locations- and yep- all because of acting As If. This critical ingredient is the main teaching in Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret. I’m so glad she’s now promulgating what I discovered by accident back then.

Well, anyway, back to the cheque. That’s what you wanted, right?

Sometime mid 2007, I started a new online enterprise offering CRM and allied services. Since it was a new legal entity, I obtained a separate Google Adsense account for it, independent from the main account embedded in my established network of sites.

The first month’s adsense check was depressing: a paltry $189.  That depressed me so much that I seriously hunkered down for a major prosperity spell complete with a magician’s circle chalked onto the ground, sandalwood incense, invocations to the four archangels and my trusty energy raging orgone generator. It took me about thirty minutes. I imagined an HDTV-quality movie of a  stampede of rabid clients raiding my site with a passionate itch to click my ads.

Click click click. I saw them clicking in my mind’s eye. Click click click. The image was so real, that I actually heard cash registers chachinging. Okay that’s good enough. I ended the spell, hosed away the circle and thought nothing more about it.

The second month came. Hmm… not bad. $740. Enough to pay the hosting.

Then the third month. DHL flew in Google’s love note of $995.

December came. $1707 blew the doors open. Whew! For a 4 year old, PR3 site with 660,000 alexa ranking, that figure aint so bad.  I can already imagine what it will bring in a year from now after the baby grows into a PR6 gargantuan.

The Law of Attraction works. It’s made me a humble $1707. And it’s made Rhonda Byrne a multi millionaire.

  1. Since You already had 189$ from starters and preety high lexa rank [even tho not first 100k] it was possible that people started coming more when You started advertising.
You also do know on-line tricks so i doubt its only (white) magic ;)
