Have you ever felt strangely touched when you were in a place of worship? Logically, your mind tells you that there is nothing there, but your heart has registered something and your body reacts by slowing down almost as if in homage. This is a spiritual experience. Spiritual healing is based on the individual’s belief in the spirit. Spirituality is the recognition and acceptance of a powerful external force (some call it God) that has some influence on the individual.
This external force can provide inspiration, joy, guidance and peace of mind; these feelings often go beyond what is normally possible in the absence of conviction. Read the rest of this entry »

Thought field therapy (TFT) was developed in 1981 by Dr. Roger Callaghan. TFT can best be described as a totally non-invasive, drug free therapy that eliminates the negative energy in the body. This is done by addressing and stimulating the specific energy meridian points in the body in a precise and defined sequence. It is a New Age psychotherapy that relies on the fundamental principles underlying traditional Chinese medicine.
Thought field therapy originated interestingly enough when Dr. Callaghan was able to cure a patient of her water-phobia by asking her to tap on the point that connected with her stomach meridian. According to proponents of the system, the key lies in Dr. Callaghan’s discovery of the natural method in which psychological problems are solved.
Though field therapy operates on the principle that negative emotions result in physical problems because these emotions lead to energy blockages in the body. When the blockages are removed, the fears will disappear. Thus TFT seeks to cure anxieties by directly attacking the disturbing thought pattern. Interpreted in this fashion, TFT strikes at the root of the problem. Read the rest of this entry »

Did you know that only about 7% of human communication is verbal? I find that rather interesting considering all of the talking that we humans do. After learning this I wondered what the remaining 93% of our communication consisted of then. Aside from our written communication, our major means of communication is body language. It’s hard to believe really, but if you think about it, it does make sense. Giving a speech, going on a date, interrogating a suspect, or even a debate are all fine examples of the use of body language. Body language and what it says can make or break you when you’re interviewing for a job and trying to make a good impression.

When Jennifer considered leaving her project management position at a large mortgage firm to start her own business, she thought it would be wonderful to leave on good terms and with a 2-week severance package. After being discouraged by asking her manager, she felt hopeless. This hopeless feeling put out a vibe that meant there was no hope for Jennifer’s severance package. Why? Well, it’s the law. The law of attraction states like attract like. OK. Stay with me. By stating there is no hope then the universe obeys and delivers no hope.
So, to have what you want, you have to allow it to happen, see it as a reality, have no doubt and know absolutely it will become reality.
For the longest time, I wanted be thin, but I kept having the recurring thoughts that I couldn’t be thin. I had all kinds of excuses. I would have to go hungry. I would have to run 5 miles a day. I didn’t have the time to exercise rigorously daily. You name it. I thought it. I had every excuse in the book. I was making untrue statements in my head. In fact, I was manifesting that there was no possible way I could be thin. Read the rest of this entry »

We live in a hectic and uncertain world, with violence and chaos surrounding us every minute of the day. We are getting busier and busier and being bombarded with commercialism and adverts from every angle. Just like many of us I have been looking for a way to break the constant information overload to help give my mind a chance to relax and after many years of studying and test trying the art of meditation by many of the great religions like Budhism I have found a simple six step formula that helps me to unleash the inner peace that really wishes to come out.

Sometimes you don’t need the latest to be the greatest. Products made years or even decades back can ably deliver the goods. With flair!
Take the Casio FC-200 Financial Calculator. Made in 1997, it still solves all practical quandaries that face the financial consultant. I use it till today! Despite the crop of new (and complex) instruments offered by Sharp and T.I., it’s hard to outgrow old systems.
The same goes for the more esoteric devices… such as orgone units.
Early this week, my girlfriend was feeling zapped from the pressures of work and studies. She had the sniffles. Her bones creaked all over. I predicted that in 12 hours she’d have a full blown flu.

Here’s what to do if someone makes an amazing request.
1) Just agree. If someone offers a suggestion, comment, or complaint, say, “Thank you. I’ll note that and tell my boss.” Never attempt to explain why the idea won’t work because this will start an argument. If appropriate ask for clarification or suggestions on how to implement the idea.
2) Avoid “Not.” Negative talk encourages arguments, counter attacks, and attempts to solve your problems. It also creates a negative impression. For example, when you say, “I can’t,” you appear helpless and ineffective. Instead, talk about what you can do and what you want to do.
3) Work at the Ritz. That is, deal with impossible requests by 1) acknowledging the request, 2) empathizing with the other person’s feelings, 3) saying, “I wish I could . . . ,” and 4) suggesting a reasonable alternative.” Read the rest of this entry »
