As you noticed, we had been accepting articles by seasoned life coaches and posting them on our blog for your enjoyment. That’s to change.
Starting today, XtremeMind will limit the publication of submitted articles to twice a week and will begin delivering content developed in-house.
Have a grand day!
Warmly

Years ago, a pilot was attempting a world record long distance flight. He was nearing the end of his journey and was two hours away from the next airport and his final target, when he heard a frightening sound. He heard the distinct sound of a rat gnawing at something. The adventurer knew that this could spell disaster; the rat could chew through his control lines or the fuel line, and cause him to crash into the mountains below! At first he started panicking, but then he started thinking about a solution. At last it came to him: rats can’t handle high altitudes! Don’t ask me how he knew that, but his knowledge solved his problem. He started climbing higher and higher, until the gnawing sound ceased. The rat had died from the high altitude. When he landed his plane, he found the dead rat. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m in a bit of a product development funk. Here’s the part where I ask for suggestions.

Reality is not real. It is a dream. This is not a metaphorical statement. On the quantum level of reality, only pure energy exists. We are finding true what Democritus of Abdera discovered a long time ago. Democritus (about 460 BC-about 370 BC) was a Greek scholar who is best known for his atomic theory. He is recorded by Diogenes Laertius to have said, “Nothing exists except atoms and empty space; everything else is opinion.”
It was long believed that these atoms, at least, were like tiny billiard balls. Later, they were thought to be like little solar systems, with electrons flying around a nucleus.
Today, physicists consider atoms to be probability clouds because at the subatomic level particles appear and disappear and there is more space in an atom than anything else.
All this means that at the smallest level of materiality, there is only pure energy.
This energy coalesces into forms we find meaningful because of the work of consciousness. In other words, without the observer, reality is questionable.
You are that consciousness that is creating the dream. And you work in harmony with every other consciousness on the planet to make it happen on a global scale. We call the collective assembly of the dream, reality. Read the rest of this entry »

There’s the loser’s way and the winners way to resolve conflict. If you want win-win situations, you must be aware of the best way!
Dealing with difficult people is, well, difficult. (Dah) Different people deal with difficult people differently (another “Dah”.) How we react in conflict situations depends on how we learned to react when we were children. Unless we make a conscious effort to change, the way we observed conflict as a child will be the manner we address conflict as adults.
Generally, as children we learned to react one of three ways — shout, pout, or get out.
Shout –We literally or figuratively “shout” in an effort to correct, capture, and control the situation. We feel or fear attack. We fight back.
Pout – We clam-up, back off, and hold-in our feelings. We try to protect our self with silence and lack of responsive.
Get Out – We emotionally and/or physically remove our self from the situation.
Learning new ways to approach conflict takes conscious effort. It is usually worth it. It eliminates stress, creates better outcomes and strengthens relationships. When confronting a conflict situation, rather than react, we can choose how we will respond. We can –
· Collaboration — “Hey, let’s see how we can’t find a different way work this out.”
· Compromise – “I can adjust my position, can you adjust yours?”
· Competition – “Let’s flip a coin”
· Accommodation – “Ok, we’ll do it your way.”
· Avoidance – “This conflict isn’t worth having”
The important thing is not what we choose, but that we choose. Being thoughtful, conscious, and in charge of our response is what turns you all around. It is what conflict management (and the hokey poky) is all about.
Ok?
Bring it on!

Folks, you probably notice that the website encounters a major denial of service every other month. Rest assured, that inspite of the DOS, the site continues to fly on, protected by full and incremental backups at strategic periods.
All your valuable contributions to the forum will be preserved.

Sometimes your life just seems to be bleak, dark and full of rotten bad luck. Your friends enjoy all sorts of things that you don’t. They get the breaks, you get the bag.
So you blame the world. You blame God.
But did you ever ask yourself if the blame lies within you?
The following article helps reorient things into a more empowering perspective
——————-
What do you tell yourself and others about your life? Do you paint a picture of your life as happy and optimistic or as somber and sad?
It’s not what happens to us in this life but it is what we do with and about what happens to us in this life. Life is not fair. Never has been. Never will be. That’s just the way it is. So if you don’t like the hand that you’ve been dealt you have a right to complain all you want but that won’t change circumstances and it won’t make it better. It will make it worse.
Our lives are defined by the stories we tell ourselves and others. Good things happen to everybody and bad things happen to everybody. But it’s the story we tell that emphasizes the event. We’ve all heard inspiring stories about people who have overcame hardships and difficulties. Those are the stories everyone likes to hear. They remind us of the triumph of the human spirit. On the other hand we all hear stories of gloom and doom from often well-meaning friends, loved ones, relatives. We hear exaggerated stories of sickness and despair. But all of the exaggeration of the bad brings more bad to your life. You get what you focus on. You see what you look for. If you are focusing on “how bad it is” that is what you are getting, more of “how bad it is”. If you are focused on the good that is what you get more of “the good”. Read the rest of this entry »

Sometimes the problem of the go-getter is not how to achieve success, but knowing when he’s made it. Lack of awareness of his point on the success spectrum often leads to very frustrated folks.
This article should flag milestones on your route to accomplishment.
——————
Everyone measures it differently. Some measure it by how much money they make. Others measure it by their career path and corresponding title. Then you have the people who measure it by the things that they have such as the size of their house, their art and jewelry, and the number of cars that they own. Others measure it by the state of their health.
As children, many of us measured success by the friends we had. Were we in the “in-group” at that back table in the cafeteria, or were we outside looking in?
So I’ll ask it again - how do you measure success? It’s different for everyone.
As I sat down at my computer today to put together our newsletter, I decided to search on-line to see what articles I could come up with on this topic. So I did a search on the words “success articles” to see what other people have written about it. Read the rest of this entry »

Did you ever wonder why people shy away?
Or why some people attract folks from all social strata? This article should enlighten you
———————-
There are two kinds of people in this world. In the first category we find people who are a joy to be around. These people are usually smiling and have a warmth about them.
They have a willingness to help, and they are not very critical. They usually have a positive way of looking at any situation. They look for the good in every person and thing. They express gratitude and appreciation easily.
They count their blessings and they go out of their way to help other people. They speak kindly of others, giving people the benefit of the doubt. They see their own future as bright.
They are visionaries who see the good and the light everywhere. And when you spend any time around this these types of people you always feel uplifted, more positive and somewhat refreshed, energized and motivated afterwards.
The second category of people usually have a frown or a scowl on their faces. They wear a look of disapproval most of the time.
They are not pleasant to be around. They nitpick and look for flaws in everything and everyone. They are pessimistic and cynical. They whine and complain a lot.
They are never happy or satisfied, no matter what. They expect the worse. They have bad luck. They are usually victims of some injustice or another. Read the rest of this entry »
