A vision board is a simple yet powerful visualization tool that activates the universal law of attraction to begin manifesting your dreams into reality. The concept of the vision board (also known as a goal board, goal map, or treasure map) has been around for generations, but it’s gained a renewed interest and popularity after success expert John Assaraf related his story of using vision boards to achieve his dreams in the best-selling DVD documentary The Secret.1
What’s a Vision Board?
A vision board is simply a visual representation or collage of the things that you want to have, be, or do in your life. It consists of a poster or foam board with cut-out pictures, drawings and/or writing on it of the things that you want in your life or the things that you want to become. The purpose of a vision board is to activate the law of attraction to begin to pull things from your external environment that will enable you to realize your dream. By selecting pictures and writing that charges your emotions with feelings of passion, you will begin to manifest those things into your life. (more…)

Women. I simply cannot fathom why we men do not understand how much we need them in our lives. I wonder if we men understood just how much a woman enhances, nurtures, stimulates, develops, and changes our wayward animal maleness, would we be so willing to abandon our mates by betraying them sexually?
Let’s face it. We men are pigs. We are filthy goats. We usually have only one thing on our minds (do I even need to go there?). We are so one-track minded that it is a wonder we manage to ever get by in life. In fact, if one were to critically examine what’s going on in the world today, especially America, which is mainly run by men, we shouldn’t be surprised by the state the world is in.
Men are screwing up…no.. have screwed up the world, have we not? (more…)

You know, success comes very easily to some and is very difficult for others to even comprehend. What is the difference between these two types of people? Why do the rich get richer and the poor get poorer? Why, when one thing goes well it seems to happen over and over again? Or, vise-versa, if something goes wrong, why does it happen over and over again? I like this definition given by a dictionary of the word “allow”:permit to be attainable or cause to remain. What are you allowing when it comes to the results you seek?
I believe, that the only thing standing in the way of your success is you and you alone. What kinds of limiting beliefs are you holding on to that may hinder you and what you attract? Believe it or not, but success scares some people. Becoming an outrageous success just does not feel right to some people so they actually block it, without even knowing it. When they experience a little taste of success, they savor the moment and store it away for a rainy day. Maybe it’s because it is something that is unfamiliar to them. A different feeling that they haven’t really felt before. It’s not that they don’t like the feeling of success, they just fear that it will go away.
The feeling that I speak of is almost something that can’t be understood in writing but only by the heart. It is the feeling of the uttermost joy to know that you have done it. You have won and you want to share it with anyone and everyone. It is a feeling of fulfillment but yet a hunger for more. Confidence and boldness surround you as the thought of fear and worry no longer exist. You are on top of your game and unstoppable. You are in flow and that flow will continue. That, is the feeling that you must have within you constantly and learn to recreate at the drop of a hat. You must allow that feeling to stay with you and most importantly, allow it to continue to grow within you and swell.
By applying the principles of the law of attraction, we learn what we think about, happens if we give it enough focus and energy. Learn to train your mind. Allow success. Allow money. You are a money magnet and you deserve to live a life of abundance and prosperity because you have allowed it to happen for yourself. Success is not for everyone else, it is for you.

Instead, gun for more realistic goals!
The more effectively you can measure a goal, the more likely you are to complete the goal because progress itself is a tremendous encourager. Even though you can’t see progress by the day, you will by the end of the week - or certainly by the end of the month.
Many people set goals that are completely out of reach, whereas others set them so low that they represent no challenge. Both approaches are unrealistic. Many people knowingly set impossible goals so that they have a built-in excuse for not achieving those goals. This practice is clearly self-defeating. You must have a realistic chance of reaching a goal, combined with a belief that you will reach it, in order for it to have long-range motivational impact.

Are you constantly griping? Looking at the bad side of things ultimately makes it a self-fulfilling prophecy: everything goes rotten!
Rememer, you are what you think you are.
Instead of complaining about what you lack, cultivate and appreciate what you do have. Nurturing your attitude so you become a positive person, and appreciating who you are based on your capabilities, will create a positive outcome. Your trip to success depends on the decisions you make. Your task is to envision the situation from a ’selfless’ perspective rather than a selfish one. Take responsibility for your actions. If you feel your actions produce negative results, and the outcome is unacceptable, then shift your actions.
As you allow yourself the liberty to change, you also allow yourself the freedom to rise and discover new roads to success. Remember a time or a situation when you faced a moderate degree of challenge. You may have noticed a distinct change in your feelings. As the time drew closer to achieving whatever it was you set out to accomplish, you felt more alive and more aware of your surroundings. Your aliveness and vitality produce pleasurable feelings and is self-encouraging. Your paradigms and emotions reach new peaks and plateaus as you plot your direction with conviction.

You’re in the midst of work then …
Or you’re finishing a 97% complete report then ….
Okay. Familiar? I can imagine your blood pressure rising when that happens. What is an interruption? An interruption is anything that seizes your attention from an activity you have chosen to do to for an activity that someone else has purposely or inadvertently chosen for you. Interruptions are normally random and without any consideration for the importance of, or impact on, your time and your personal priorities. Interruptions chew up time and energy. They cost you loads of money if you consder wasted man hours.
There are two primary causes of interruptions you face daily at home or at the office: telephones and people dropping by. The telephone rings, and you automatically pause what you are doing to answer it. The doorbell rings, and the same thing happens regardless of the importance of the task at hand. Someone is forcing you to switch gears instantly even though it is not your choice. “I’m not interrupting, am I?” is the typical remark. “Of course not,” you answer politely without an ounce of integrity. Whether people interrupt you in person or on the telephone, they always seem to have something on their minds that just can’t wait.
The time wasted because of an interruption extends beyond than the time span of the actual interruption. For instance, you are focusing on writing a report, business plan, or important letter when your concentration is shattered by the ringing of your phone. Not only do you lose the time you actually talk on the phone, but it will normally take you several additional minutes to regain your focus and get back up to speed with what you were working on. Switching gears takes time. (more…)

Ask yourself this: How would you like to write and publish your own OUTRAGEOUSLY Profitable eBook in as little as 7 days – even if you can’t write, can’t type and failed high school English class??
Now that was a truly mind numbing proposition.
Guess what? I clicked almost in a split second.. and was floored at the potential.

You have the choice to control negativity and self-sabotaging behavior by creating positive beliefs and envisioning positive outcomes. Through a practice called “thought stopping,” you can change direction when you find yourself slipping into a negative thought pattern. Say to yourself, with a loud and firm inner voice: STOP! Once you’ve done this, it’s important to replace your previous thought with a more positive statement and image. Clearly acknowledge which statements cause you to feel pain or threat, and which statements allow you to feel success, joy and happiness.
When people unnecessarily stress themselves by thinking that they have no control over a controllable situation, they need to use their inner voice to shout out the word “STOP.” Then, change track and think about how the situation can be redirected. (more…)

Have you Ever Run Into Those Little Tyrants? The little guys who think they can step on everyone’s toes?
Did you realize that the only people who seem to be power-hungry are those who don’t have any. Once you attain power, it becomes a burden. This statement comes from many of those minds that rose to power, thinking that happiness would follow, and were highly disappointed.
There are some people who derive pleasure from ordering others around, but they’re just insecure people who have no real personal power: power over their own lives. People who run their own lives don’t need to run others’.
Ironically, though, as people rise in worldly power, they often lose power over their own lives, because they’ve got so many people to please and obligations to meet. When this happens, reasonable people can become Little Hitlers. Sometimes they stay like that until they find a way to again manage their own lives. (more…)

When you bring forth the best there is within you, you lift yourself to greater and greater heights. I don’t believe we have the right to sit on our greatness. We have the responsibility to put our gifts to work. It is important to let our young people know that there is importance and significance to their stories, their songs, their concerns, their questions, their ideas, their answers and their journeys. Tell them that all their best is still within them. Inspire them to reach within for it, and bring it out for the world to marvel at.
Teenagers are sometimes bedeviled by their own temperaments. Much of the time, they are as confused by their own behavior as their parents are. They need to understand that no matter what outer behavior they find themselves presenting, there is still goodness inside them. Let them know that you see it even if they don’t. Beneath that coolness, that tough stance, that hard cynicism, that rebelliousness, there is still the good child, the person with goodness to share. They need to give themselves permission to unleash that goodness - not to please adults or authority figures, but in order to reflect that higher consciousness: the best of themselves.
Here is a little checkup list for teenagers that can help them evaluate their lives.
1. Check yourself: What do you want from your life? Is your behavior bringing the results you want in life? Is it moving you toward your dreams? How do you see yourself in the future? How can you get to where you want to be? Are you molding now what you want to be as an adult?
2. Check your relationships: Do your friends tear you down or build you up? Do they weaken you and make you dependent on their approval? Or do they make you feel strong and capable? Measure the value of each relationship against how that person makes you feel about yourself. Is this person more likely to help you get on the honor roll or the detention list?
3. Get a plan: No pressure here; it doesn’t have to be for your lifetime. Just for the next week, month and year. Get some help and determine the steps you need to take to make that plan work. What is it that you like to do? How do people make a living doing that? Are you interested in making that your career? Think about the type of person you want to become, not the type of possessions you want to accumulate.
4. Recognize your own value: Respect yourself. Think about the activities that give you the most satisfaction, the skills or talents that you have that you can build upon and turn into lifelong gifts. Develop them, take pride in your abilities and your creativity and the strength of your character. Each of us is unique; celebrate your uniqueness and the diversity of the world around you. Be secure within yourself so that no one controls your destiny but YOU.
5. Seek mentors and role models: Sit down and talk to people who are doing what you think you want to do. Volunteer to work for them or ask to spend a week following them as they work. Role models don’t have to be adults; they just have to be positive people.
