Sometimes you don’t need the latest to be the greatest. Products made years or even decades back can ably deliver the goods. With flair!

Take the Casio FC-200 Financial Calculator. Made in 1997, it still solves all practical quandaries that face the financial consultant. I use it till today! Despite the crop of new (and complex) instruments offered by Sharp and T.I., it’s hard to outgrow old systems.

The same goes for the more esoteric devices… such as orgone units.

Early this week, my girlfriend was feeling zapped from the pressures of work and studies. She had the sniffles. Her bones creaked all over. I predicted that in 12 hours she’d have a full blown flu.

As she prepared to retire the evening before the final exam, I was beginning to feel annoyed with myself. Here I was, a part-time developer and marketer of alternative wellness machines and I had none at hand. We were both 50km from where I housed all the gadgets- particularly the Beck Blood Pulser which would come in really handy.

Then I recalled the Pyramid Power Wand in the glove box. Made by esteemed researcher Jon Goldman way back in 2001, it was a first generation subtle energy device. I successful used it for telepathic transfers, minor cloud melting games as well as parlor tricks with smoke-in-a-glass.

Healing was something it never wrestled with.

Well… never too late to earn the wand it’s medical stripes!

I rushed to the car to get the device- and just in time too. Some guy was planning to tow it. (in our area, they’ll find every excuse to haul you even if you’re in a designated parking slot!) A bit of haggling and the fellow drove off with a smile. Yep, NLP can come in handy. NLP with veiled threats.

I had my girlfriend lie with the wand behind her head, pyramid aimed at the crown chakra. She was instructed to breathe in rhythmically, drawing in energy from the air around her and from the aging but trusty gadget.

In minutes she was asleep. Ah the sweet sound of a woman dozing… (The lack of nags was wonderful……)

I spent a few more minutes visualizing the healing process taking place. My mind easily conjured up the image of a potent army of T-Cells wiping out the viruses causing her discomfort. Then I left.

3am

She sprang up. Revitalized. Refreshed and raring for a final cramming. Not a trace of fatigue in sight.

She also mentioned how warm her head felt. (Will the wand take a bow)

Ahhhh…. the power of chi generating devices. The only energy technology I’m aware off that’s self-powering and continuously giving out bioavailable forces. God Bless Wilhelm Reich’s soul. He’s definitely The Man.

I marvel again how I got this nifty toy for only $60 off an ebay auction years back. It’s a hardy fella: the darned thing continues to work after all the abuse I put it through. I dropped it, sat on it (ouch), submerged it, and accidentally burnt it. It’s like a Volks: takes a licking but keeps on ticking.

I doubt Jon Goldman still makes em, but he’s got other amazing goodies up his sleeve. Check out the mad lab at higherpowertech.com
